Hey there. So far, plugin appears to be working great. I just have a quick question...

I see in the Translator plugin page that I've had more than 5000+ translated pages as I've been slowly rolling out the languages.

However, when I go look at Analytics I can only find less than 50 pageviews. I do this by searching on strings in the URL like /de/ and /pl/ and such.

Which number is right? Or is there something that's making the Analytics code not work all the time? Thanks...

Hey Widget,

I've had very good luck with the plug in also.

You need to remember, Google Analytics, runs a script in the browser. So you are only seeing visitors that have ran that script.

What are you trying to see? I've installed a another plug in called WassUp. This will show you all blog activity. You could always go to Google and see how many of your 5000+ pages are cached. Try this command in a google seach box -- 'site:www.yourdomain.com /el/'.

I think you get the idea.

I'm trying to see the plugin's effectiveness in Analytics. So, for example, I want to be able to track how much that's increasing my traffic from the regions in question. If my problem is that only 1% of my traffic is actually able to show up in Analytics, then I have been seriously underselling myself. :)

I'm trying to only use one tool to track this stuff. But I'll bear the other plugin in mind.

The trouble with that is that if I use 'es' for example, it's showing me non-translated pages with "es" in it. I think this works better: allinurl: /es/ site:needcoffee.com

I'll keep looking for another solution. Thanks again.

Another problem with Google Analytics code is that not all translated pages may contain the code, especially pages which were cached before analytics code was added.
If the plugin was activated before Google Analytics code was in place then you should clean the old pages from cache to allow them to be re-translated again.

angsuman: Thanks for the reply...I've pulled down the new and improved Analytics code so we'll see if that helps anything.
