After updgrading Wordpress to 2.5 and installing the new version of translator plugin gold, no translation is possible. I got always the default site:
The page you requested couldn't be translated at this time. Please try again later.
I get the message for any language I choose. Any Idea what could be wrong?

I replied to you by email. Essentially you copied the translator directory to the wrong place, under existing translator directory. So WordPress is not being able to identify the plugin. The steps to follow are:
1. First deactivate the plugin.
2. Now delete the translator directory and all enclosed sub-directories.
3. Now upload the new translator directory (from the zip file for the new version) along with its sub-directories directly under wp-content/plugins. So your directory structure will be wp-content/plugins/translator/...
4. Now activate the new plugin.
And you are done!
