Hi,

I am exploring Anaconda theme for my new personal site (ErikdeKlerk.com) and like it a lot so far. But, I would like to change the main title to red, and always have it stay red (so no hover colour, no link colour, always the same colour red as the main theme.

I explored the css file and tried a couple of changes but somehow I continue to have a grey or blue title at times.

In my Translater Pro I've only three search engine available: BabelFish, Engine 4(WorldLingo), and Engine 5(WorldLingo).

Anaconda Theme is totally complaint with W3 Validator. We have used it in many versions of Wordpress including latest 2.5. It generates no validation errors. It may be something else that doing it in your blog. You can check it in any other Blogs using Anaconda Theme.
We don't provide free or paid support to Blogs with Adult/Porn content or images. So we can't see your Blog for any further observation.

Most SEO articles say visitors won't wait more than 6 to 8 seconds for a page to load and Anaconda starts at 6 without content. At my blog, blog.actualcures.com, Anaconda has nothing to load, no features nor enhancements, yet takes 6 seconds to load. Why? What sites are Anaconda going to during the downloading of Anaconda Page? Badspiderbites.com is a wordpres site and it downloads in two seconds. Is it true that Anaconda is only worthwhile for visitors with 3mb download or faster connection? I can't imagine how slow Anaconda would be if I was actually using some of the enhancements and features it has. I just can't believe that Anaconda is so search engine friendly that the number of extra visitors that Anaconda brings who have very a high connection far exceeds the number of visitors lost due to "slow" high speed connection. Your features and enhancements are of no use (but to the wealthy who can afford the highest speed) to anyone if they don't want to wait for them.
Anaconda is too slow for me to bother with.

Thank you. So the conflict that I have been told about between the sidebar widget and Wordpress 2.5, is not really a conflict? If so, then I have some other problem. It seems like there are many issues with Wordpress 2.5 and I am trying to sort out which issues are due to the instability in the release of WP and which issues are due to my use of the theme.

When bringing up http://anaconda.taragana.net/ it takes about 12 revolutions (probably 1 revolution per second) of the Firefox circle at the top right of the Firefox browser. That's a long time. It takes about 10 seconds for the 1 sentence test I have on the anaconda theme.

I see that in the tan box on the Taragana site is "100% CSS". There must be a real lot of CSS in the anaconda theme for Firefox to take 10-12 seconds to load an anaconda page. My site without anaconda takes only 5 seconds to load. Doesn't the lengthy time to load anaconda really weigh heavily on all of the features of anaconda. I'm worried anaconda is going to cost me a lot of visitors becuase it's so slow.

Got things updated to 2.3 and it took ALL DAY to get everything resolved. Maybe it's my webhosting techs, but things went very rocky. For one, I couldn't, and still can't get MyLinkOrder and the MyCategoryOrder plugins to work. I'm really puzzled on that yet, but already contacted the plugin author about it...

Anyhow, I'm wondering if there are any other suggestions people could give me in the way of Anaconda friendly widgets. Thanks a bunch in advance!

I replied to you by email. Essentially you copied the translator directory to the wrong place, under existing translator directory. So WordPress is not being able to identify the plugin. The steps to follow are:

1. First deactivate the plugin.

2. Now delete the translator directory and all enclosed sub-directories.

3. Now upload the new translator directory (from the zip file for the new version) along with its sub-directories directly under wp-content/plugins. So your directory structure will be wp-content/plugins/translator/...

I installed Arne Brachold's Sitemap generator plugin program like you suggested. That works perfectly. I configure it to store that sitemap in my root directory.

Then I configured my xml-sitemap program to exclude the /blog directory.

Now all I have to do, is added the second sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools.

Yes, it would. Links (pointing to pages on your own blog) in translated pages are converted so you get translated versions of subsequent pages too.

No, you don't need to change any settings for this.

You can check the pages in your cache by inspecting the table - wp-atpp-page-cache. All pages in the cache are unique.

Since you have used this theme for almost a year, now you will be happy to know that we are working on dynamically new version of Anaconda Theme, where one of the feature is color-selection. You will be able to select color of your choice, and the theme will be transformed automatically in your favorite color. Although after some time, but you will have it soon and sure.
