im using this plugin in many blogs for more then one year...

i have the new 5.1 in my last blog, that have the index optimization line, for phpadmin.

i have one BIG blog with 1Gb in Database (yes 1GB!)

the database crash from time to time, i don't blame the plugin..

what can i do to optimize the tables in mysql without updating the plugin?

As you have a big database, please run the index optimization queries from mysql command line and not from phpMyAdmin because it can take some time to execute.
To make it execute much much faster you will need to shutdown your apache server temporarily so that the mysql database becomes free and then run the index creation sql as specified.

ok.. but can i run the SQL command i found in the new 5.1 on a old database (that don't have 5.1 installed) ?

tks .. i have "run" the command for indexing the database,

but now i have this error/ info:



the site are fine and "seems" ok and fast.
is that a real problem?

BTW, if someone are reading this, this plugin is a "MUST HAVE"! but take care, you site will by 10 times bigger, google and yahoo will index 10 times more pages.. if you have a large blog, you will need some good dedicated server.

it seems your developing a faster more "optimize" plugin the 6.0.. great, waiting for it.

You can ignore the error. It looks like some of the indexes already got added, that's all.
