If I'm viewing a post in my blog, and I decide to view a translated view of it, should the links on other post work?

Meaning, if I click on the second to the last post, of the translated page, should it also take me to that translated page?

Yes, it would. Links (pointing to pages on your own blog) in translated pages are converted so you get translated versions of subsequent pages too.
