When bringing up http://anaconda.taragana.net/ it takes about 12 revolutions (probably 1 revolution per second) of the Firefox circle at the top right of the Firefox browser. That's a long time. It takes about 10 seconds for the 1 sentence test I have on the anaconda theme.

I see that in the tan box on the Taragana site is "100% CSS". There must be a real lot of CSS in the anaconda theme for Firefox to take 10-12 seconds to load an anaconda page. My site without anaconda takes only 5 seconds to load. Doesn't the lengthy time to load anaconda really weigh heavily on all of the features of anaconda. I'm worried anaconda is going to cost me a lot of visitors becuase it's so slow.

As you know, Anaconda Theme comes with lots of features and enhancements, which includes lots of CSS and JavaScript. But it doesn't slow up Blog up to that much that a 5 seconds loading Blog will take 12 seconds. And please don't think that you are loosing your visitors, it brings more visitors also due to its extensive features. Can you please give me your Blog url so that I can check it out. May be some problem persists there, which we have to look at.

It did seem to do better today, maybe it was my webhost server, it took 6 seconds to load today. Here's my blog blog.actualcures.com.

I know very little about wordpress. I guess from the dash board you can make some changes and not others. According to a friend some wordpress themes are easy to change the color on and others are really difficult. How difficult is it to change the colors on Anaconda?

Not only do I need color, I also need to have a second column of categories in place of "Blog Roll" and "Archives". My readers won't know what any of it is for. Can you also change the titles you have; "Categories" on the left to "Solutions" and on the right to "Preventions"

Does the RSS functioanlity of Anaconda slow the loading of an anaconda site? I see that RSS graphic on the right side of the address fiels, and at the bottom, RSS Entries and RSS Comments. I really don't want my site to have anything to do with RSS. How can I get rid of it?

No, it doesn't have any impact on performance. If you have performance concerns you should try wp-cache 2 plugin on your site.

RSS feeds are provided by default in WordPress. However you can get rid of the links by editing the template files.

Most SEO articles say visitors won't wait more than 6 to 8 seconds for a page to load and Anaconda starts at 6 without content. At my blog, blog.actualcures.com, Anaconda has nothing to load, no features nor enhancements, yet takes 6 seconds to load. Why? What sites are Anaconda going to during the downloading of Anaconda Page? Badspiderbites.com is a wordpres site and it downloads in two seconds. Is it true that Anaconda is only worthwhile for visitors with 3mb download or faster connection? I can't imagine how slow Anaconda would be if I was actually using some of the enhancements and features it has. I just can't believe that Anaconda is so search engine friendly that the number of extra visitors that Anaconda brings who have very a high connection far exceeds the number of visitors lost due to "slow" high speed connection. Your features and enhancements are of no use (but to the wealthy who can afford the highest speed) to anyone if they don't want to wait for them.
Anaconda is too slow for me to bother with.
