Food for Better Vision

You can assume that the often repeated advice is valid for your eyes too: eat more fresh fruit, vegetables and salads, and stay away from animal fats and sugar. Fish is preferable to meat, especially ocean fish. Meat tends to make you aggressive; it can increase the mental strain that contributes to your visual defect. While live yoghurt can be recommended, pasteurized and homogenized milk products tend to clog up veins and arteries, which impedes blood circulation around your eyes.

Perhaps you want to eat chocolate, ice cream, french fries and hamburger with cola now and then, or “treat yourself” in other ways. This may be all right if it does not become a daily habit. But don’t expect to have perfect eyesight on a diet of processed, preserved, heated, deep-fried, baked or hydrogenated foods.

Among the foods that help you to see better are carrots, celery, endive, parsley, spinach, bean sprouts, turnip greens, beetroots, cucumber, raw egg yolk and liver. Also recommended are apricots, raisins, sunflower seeds, pecan nuts, wheat germ, soy beans and lecithin. Gingko biloba increases the blood flow around the eyes. All the vitamins that are good for the skin are also good for your eyes: A, B, C, D and E. But keep in mind that many vitamins are neutralized by refined sugar, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and other legal and illegal drugs. Taking a handful of vitamin pills every day cannot compensate for unnatural eating and living habits.

Finding the right balance between activity and rest, or between light and darkness is especially important for your delicate visual system. But most people have never heard about the pH balance between acid and alkaline body conditions. This is why over-acidity is a major problem in the rich countries. Especially uric acid crystals tend to form around the joints and cause arthritis or gout. Over-acidity is also bad for your eyes and nervous system.

The general rule to remember is: fruits and vegetables reduce acidity, while grains, legumes and animal products increase it. These last three groups are not bad in themselves, but most people eat too much of them. You can easily restore the balance by eating more fresh fruits and vegetables.

The way you compose your meals can make all the difference. When you eat meat and potatoes in the same meal, for example, this mixture is hard to digest. It will sit in your stomach like a brick for ten hours and give you a heavy feeling. But to eat meat with salad or vegetables is perfectly all right. You may want to read a book on food combining, such as “Fit for Life” by Harvey Diamond. Some people find to their surprise that their eyesight improves when they go on a fast, when they only drink water or raw fruit juice for a few days. While the body cleanses itself of accumulated toxins, they automatically slow down to save energy. They avoid needless straining and pushing, and this is precisely the state of mind/body that makes better vision possible. At the end of the fast the body is super-sensitive, it can tell you exactly which foods are good for you.

During the last fifty years the health of people in the industrialized countries has deteriorated rapidly, mostly due to unnatural eating habits. The U.S. Public Health Service rates the state of health of 100 nations of the world every year. During World War II, when sugar and meat were hard to get and family vegetable gardens were common, the USA was No.1 on the list. In 1980 Americans had dropped all the way to No.95! Almost every other American is now defined as “clinically obese”, and hardly anybody has normal eyesight. Other rich nations are not far behind in this trend.

Conclusion:
Nourish your eyes with pure, fresh foods. Give your body a chance to cleanse itself now and then. This will get you into the relaxed state of mind that makes good vision possible.

Our eyes poetically called "the windows of the soul," the eyes are also the windows of the body, say iridologists, who claim that a comprehensive examination of the eyes can reveal ailments in most other parts of the body. A long-term deficiency of vitamin A and the fatty acid DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) can also contribute to the onset of retinitis pigmentosa, a slow deterioration of the retina, which often leads to total blindness. Inability to absorb enough from food, or, for vegetarians, inability to convert enough of their beta-carotene intake into vitamin A. Some individuals have difficulty assimilating fat-soluble vitamin A and achieve more positive results from the somewhat water-soluble form (beta-carotene) available in health food stores.

Varie agenzie nazionali di web design regolamentazione operano in tutti gli Stati membri, in settori nei quali sono necessarie decisioni coerenti e autonome. Tali agenzie hanno un ruolo sempre più importante per l'applicazione del diritto comunitario.

Did you know that eating a better is not only good for your health but can help improve vision too? Well, it does. A healthy diet and exercise is good for your health which in turn will keep your eyes working properly :) .

A healthy diet includes plenty of fruits and vegetables, proteins, and dairy products. For proteins try to add more fish into your diet, it has the essential Omega-3 fatty acids that are great for the brain and mental focus. Dairy products are good but stay away from pasteurized and homogenized milk because they tend to clog arteries and limit the eye circulation. The best vegetables are carrots, spinach, bean sprouts, endive, celery, and cucumber  .

Everyone feels the need to splurge every once in a while, but too much processed and deep-fried foods can cause serious complications on eyesight and health. Stick with foods that are high in vitamins A, B, C, D, and E as they are all just the nutrients the body craves. Some other treats that are high in nutrients are sunflower seeds, raisins, pecans, soy beans, liver, and apricots  .

The body comes complete with its own pH balance system to keep an equal amount of acid and alkaline. Too much acid causes uric crystals to develop around the joints leading to arthritis. The acid also damages the muscles around the eyes. The body needs fruits, vegetables, grains, and animal products to maintain the balance. Fruits and vegetables reduce the amount of acid in the body; grains and animal products increase the acid. The goal is to find the perfect balance between the two. Most people don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables, so to find balance start there  .

Finding a good mix to the foods you eat together can help the body break down foods and digest nutrients properly. Too many carbohydrates taken with protein, like meat and potatoes, can be hard for the body to break down leaving you feeling as if food is just sitting on the gut. Proteins should be mixed with vegetables, meat and a salad. The body will be able to break it down easily and the proper amount of nutrients will be absorbed ;) .

Eat to your health and to better eyesight :geek: .

You know me, I like a dedicated server lot of books. So strange I like these books really, I started on them when I was like 12, and not really something that would capture a 12year old but I have been stuck ever since.

Nice topic. I know one best fruit for eyes is banana. This report is last issued from gum clinic london. Banana has rich iron, carbon hydrates and fibers in it. Which are best for eyes.

yes i agree with your concept that fresh vegetables, fruits are better way to keep you fit & active. No doubt that meat is better source of protein but it also cause many other problems as well. however if some one loves to take meat then he can control his body with exercise or through medicines. There are many medicines are available you can also choose through Online Pharmacy as well
